Ursolic Acid Study:

In a recent university study, Ursolic Acid was demonstrated to enhance the expression of a specific IGF-1 gene resulting in muscle tissue hypertrophy. This research study consisted of 14 male and female athletic test subjects ranging in age from 25-49 years and divided into 2 groups. All test subjects were required to drug-test both pre and post study. This research study was designed to be a double blind placebo study. Each test subject was given 2 capsules twice per day before meals for 4 weeks and was not held to a restricted calorie diet. The results of this study were based upon hydrostatic body composition testing.

The test subjects using Ursolic Acid had, on average, a change in lean body mass of +3.23lbs, in comparison, the placebo group had, on average, a change in lean body mass of .783lbs. The test subjects using Ursolic Acid realized a 413% greater increase in lean mass compared to the placebo group. The test subjects using Ursolic Acid also realized an average change in body fat mass of -5.0lbs, as compared to the placebo group, which had an average change in fat mass of +.583.
